Just got Borderlands for PS3
October 20, 2009 on 6:42 pm | In Games, PS3 | Comments OffYes sir, I just went to Best Buy near my house and purchased the new game Borderlands. Honestly, I hadn’t even heard of it since last night. I spent a few minutes today watching videos on YouTube about the game. I also took a look at IGN (they have some funny material about this game, visit http://www.ign.com/) and Twitter to see what the buzz was all about. I think the average score for Borderlands was 8.8.As I sit and type this, Borderlands is installing on my Playstation 3.I’ll be back (maybe in a few days) to offer up my some opinions on Borderlands. In the meantime, if you want to get to know me better, why not follow me on Twitter? I’m always looking to link up with other gamers playing the games that i am on. Look for me in Borderlands!

Spore Creature Creator Trial Version – PC
September 1, 2008 on 4:44 pm | In Games, PC, Spore, Spore Creature Creator | Comments OffAugust 5th, I downloaded the trial version of the Spore Creature Creator.
Here is what makes this game excellent. It’s marketing is top notch. Instead of make a “demo” that lets you play the game for a few minutes, instead what EA has done is allowed users to begin creating creatures for the Spore universive using a handy little tool that is packed with an incredible marketing functions. I’m impressed by Spore Creature Creator. Basically, what Will Wright and company over at EA has done is given the Spore community the keys to the Ferrari and are letting us take it out for a spin unsupervised.
So, what do you do? Go download the Spore Creature Creator and install it. Its free but you don’t get to use all of the features. You can purchase the full version of the creature creator for $9.95.
After you download it and install it. Load it up and begin experimenting. If you have a YouTube account you can record a movie in the creature creator program itself and then upload your video directly to YouTube without leaving the program. It makes distributing and creating characters a snap. If you have a YouTube, find me on YouTube under RobsGamingBlog. Feel free to post your videos in my comments area on my blog.

Grand Theft Auto 4 – GTA4 – I found a bug in GTA4
June 21, 2008 on 12:54 pm | In Games | 2 CommentsIts not a big deal, but is interesting. I was doing the mission where you have to go The Triangle Strip Club and kill the three managers. Well here is what I did. I ran into the club and went to the three areas where you find out where the manager is. I left the club because i noticed my health was low and you get your ass lit up in that club. So i ran down to the fast food restaurant and grabbed a burger to up my health (btw, at this point the restaurant wasn’t marked on the map, i just found it by luck.) Then i drove back to the club.
I immediately saw one of the managers standing in the street. He was blocking traffic and cars were beeping at him and all. So, i pushed him a little bit so he could let the cops go by. He wasn’t attacking me though, which was weird.
Once the cops were gone, I grabbed my shotgun and shot him. The manager took no damage. He turned around and started firing at me and killed me. I must have shot him 10 times with the shotgun so he should have been dead for sure, but he took no damage.
Its no big deal because you can still complete the mission just don’t leave the site and return. For that strip club mission make sure you have enough bullets and wear a vest too, you’ll need it.
That was the last mission i did. — I think i am like 30% through the game now.
Off to play…

GTA4 sucks.
May 4, 2008 on 2:20 am | In Game Reviews, Games, PS3 | 2 CommentsGTA4 sucks at being a horrible game that is. The game is freakin awesome.
I went to the midnight opening at Gamestop near my house to purchase the game. That was interested because it was first midnight release party that i had ever been too. There were about 100 people split into 2 lines. Our local mall has 2 gamestops in it. One for the bottom floor and one for the upper floor. So, i assumed that you were supposed to get into whatever line of the store it was that you pre-ordered the game. So, i went in the upstairs line.
They us in the mall around 11:30 pm. So, some people were out there waiting for an hour. Actually, i was expecting a bigger turn out, but i guess most people were waiting til the next day to get the game. Well, i am a game addict so i needed to get it the day it came out. Also, being a former employee of Take 2 Interactive, and this being the flagship product from that company, made it all that more interesting. I have played GTA since GTA came out on the PC so many years ago. The game was controversial then and its controversial now.
Grand Theft Auto 4 is definitely not for kids. Don’t let them play it. In fact its your job as a parent to “torture” your kid. So don’t let them play it eventhough they are dieing too!
Anyway, so i got the game at around 12:15am and made it back to my house for a nice gaming session. I played for about 2 hours and I text my cousin who also got the game. We are all playing it on the PS3. So if you want to challenge me leave a comment on my blog and lets something up.
The game is well improved over San Andreas. The largest improvement besides the graphics upgrade is the addition of multiplayer. FANTASTIC! It’s so much playing online with my friends and going crazy in the big city. I haven’t really ever had this much with a videogame before. It’s total fun.
I’ll be writing more on this game too as i plan to be playing it an awful lot.
For now, i am signing off to catch some ZZZzzzz’s.
TYLER – please stop posting your comments to my site dude. It’s getting annoying deleting all of your comments. Please say something worth posting and I will allow it to be visible on the site. All comments have to go through me before they are made live to the site.
